The reliability of SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer operation mainly depends on the design and manufacture of dry-type transformer, structural materials, and is also closely related to overhaul and maintenance.

The SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer is mainly composed of coils coated with iron core, silicon steel plate and epoxy resin. The insulating tube is placed between the high-voltage coil and the low-voltage coil to increase electrical insulation. The coil is restrained by a cushion support to prevent it from loosening.

This structure is characterized by a coil surrounding the core, and the single-phase SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer with higher power is commonly used in the core type to reduce the amount of iron. The core of SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer is to form a magnetic circuit, and in order to reduce eddy current loss, the core is staggered with thin silicon steel sheets. The surface of the silicon steel sheet is coated with insulating paint and oxidized to form an insulating layer.

The windings of single-phase low-power SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformers are mostly wound with high-strength enameled wire. The high-power SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer is mostly wound with flat copper wire or aluminum wire. Cylindrical windings are mostly used when winding, and the low-voltage windings are placed close to the core in order to insulate with the core. The high-voltage winding is concentrically sleeved on the outside of the low-voltage winding. SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer can be divided into three categories according to the number of windings.

(1) The single-turn SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer has only one winding, which is also called the auto-transformer SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer, as shown in Figure 11-9(1).

(2) The double-turn SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer has two windings, as shown in Figure 11-9(2).

(3) Multi-turn SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer has more than two windings, and three-turn SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer is commonly used.

The higher the voltage in the two windings of SCB13-400KVA dry-type transformer, the higher the voltage, the lower the voltage. Depending on the relative position of the high-voltage and low-voltage windings, the high-voltage windings can be separated from the concentric windings. The concentric winding structure is simple, and this structure is adopted.
